Hi, I'm Lara
A few facts about me which I believe have shaped me into the person, and photographer I am today:
1) I was born and raised in beautiful Zimbabwe (in Southern Africa).
I believe the vibrant culture of my motherland has fostered a love of
colour, culture and connection in all that I do.
2) My family are my absolute world! (that's them up there in the photo)
With their love, support and encouragement, I left a career in teaching over 10 years ago to peruse my creative passion and become a full time photographer!
3) My main sources of inspiration come from our beautiful planet and peoples unique life stories!
The multi-cultural society here in Aotearoa has given me the opportunity to document stories of love and connection that defy cultural, religious, racial and gender stereotypes and I get to do all this in the most beautiful landscapes and natural environments.
I am humbled and blessed to be able to call this my job.

1) WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
I am based in West Auckland, NZ. I love to travel country wide and internationally for weddings, and all over Auckland for family sessions.
2) WHAT IS YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY
I'd call my style super relaxed and natural with a documentary approach. In saying that, I also like to play around with creative shots, which can involve a bit of direction & a sprinkling of magic :)
3) WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE?
I started my photography business full time over 10 years ago. At the time, I was a secondary school teacher, teaching art, design & photography and juggling my business on the side. Since going full time I have photographed over 250 weddings and over 200 families, many of whom are repeat customers and I get the pleasure of documenting their growing families.
3) HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
Your high resolution, fully edited photos will be delivered via a private online gallery which is available for one year. From here you can download, share & print your images as you wish.
4) DO YOU PROVIDE PRINTS AND ALBUMS
I offer a range of high quality prints, frames, canvases, albums & photo-book services, all of which can be purchased directly through me, so just let me know what you're looking for and I can send a product and price list.
